The Arktikum is easy to find
Situated on the banks of the Ounasjoki river, the Arktikum stands at the crossroad of the two highways leading north from the city centre. A splendid view of the confluence of two great rivers opens up before you.
There is only 5-15 minutes walk from the hotels in the city centre to Arktikum. The distance to the Rovaniemi airport is about 9 km (15 min.). Also the bus and the railwaystations are nearby only about 2 km from Arktikum. The nearest busstop from Arktikum to the Arctic Circle is in a walking distance.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
The Arktikum is easily accessible as it is situated alongside highway E4. If you are approaching Rovaniemi from the south, take the turn off towards Kittilä and follow the local signs directing you right to the Arktikum. If you are driving down from the north, take the first turning towards the city centre (right after the river) and follow the local signs directing you to the Arktikum car park.
